News from the Catalysis Commission
19-Oct-21 | International Reference Zeolites are ready for delivery!
You can now request the samples of International Reference Zeolite, which are provided by the Catalysis Commission, International Zeolite Association. The samples can be used for scientific purposes, and the results should be reported when published as scientific papers. Only shipping from the distributor in your country is required. We currently offer services in a limited number of countries, but we plan to expand to other countries as well. Click here for further information. |

1-Oct-13 | At the 17th IZC in Moscow
the composition of the Catalysis Commission changed and new officers were elected

30-Apr-04 | At the 14th IZC in Cape Town
Michael Stöcker,the Chair of the Catalysis Commission
retired from the Commission, and two new members
Graham Hutchings Johannes Lercher |

||||
The next test reaction,
the gas phase isomerization
and hydrocracking of n-nonane, using a bi-functional catalyst (0.5 wt.-%
Pt on LaNaY), is being prepared. Preliminary experiments have been done at the University of Kaiserslautern (by Stefan Ernst) and at ChevronTexaco (by C.-Y. Chen) |
||||
26-Sep-02 | The results of the first test reaction are now available
The disproportionation reaction of ethylbenzene over LaNa-Y has been tested in five different laboratories and the results evaluated
To learn more, click on "Test Reaction" in the table of contents
To begin with | ||||
the Commission has been concentrating
on the disproportionation of ethyl benzene catalyzed by LaNa-Y with a
given degree of metal exchange. |
||||
This reaction is an acid-catalyzed process with a well-defined product distribution under the specified conditions.
Reactions that highlight the unique catalytic properties
of various modified porous materials, both in the gas phase and the liquid state, are under consideration for further investigation.
The results of this work should demonstrate
that well-defined catalytic test reactions using zeolites as catalysts yield comparable results independent of where and by whom the tests are performed, as long as the same experimental conditions are used. |
